Who We Are

We specialize in fully guided Fair Chase Dall Sheep, Brown Bear, Grizzly Bear, Moose, Caribou, and Black Bear hunts throughout Alaska. Whether you are looking to take your kids on their first black bear hunt, or you are a bowhunter on a quest for your North American Super Slam like I am. We would love to be your Alaska step of the way!

My name is Jonah Stewart, and along with my wife Skylar, and our three children we own and operate Jonah’s Alaskan Outfitters LLC.  My family moved to Alaska in 1990 when I was 6 years old. I knew from the time I was a little kid that I wanted to be an outfitter and bush pilot in Alaska.  At the age of 20, I started down that path and began guiding in Alaska, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Between this heavy guiding schedule and my love of hunting, I spent an average of over 300 days a year in the field all over the West during the first half of my 20s.  I obtained my Registered Guide/Outfitter license, and Pilots License in 2009, and 2010 was our first year in operation as Jonah’s Alaskan Outfitters! Over the last decade, we have guided hundreds of successful hunters to many fine trophies in Alaska. We have an excellent team of returning guides who all share our love for hunting and are committed to your success.

When we are not helping other hunters to accomplish their dreams, we can typically be found traveling and hunting across Alaska, Canada, Mexico, and many of the Western States. I have personally harvested 24 of the 29 species of North American Big Game with a bow, and hold over 80 official P&Y entries.  I have harvested 13 North American sheep with a bow and hold Archery Grand Slam #88.  My wife along with raising our children, homeschooling, and cooking at our lodge, is becoming quite the hunter herself. In the last few years, she has harvested wild boar, black bear, brown bear, moose, mountain goat, antelope, whitetail deer, axis deer, audad sheep, coues deer, and javelina.  Our oldest son Miles harvested his first caribou at the age of 5 and has added brown bear, black bear, audad sheep, axis deer, wild boar, and javelina to his resume.  Our youngest son Monte harvested his first black bear at age 4 and has recently added wild boar, javelina, caribou, and audad sheep to his collection.  Both boys will be receiving their Youth 3 Awards at the GSCO convention in Nashville in 2024. Our daughter Monroe is only 4 but has spent her whole life in a hunting camp and won’t be far behind her brothers!
